ओये लक्की ओये!

When it comes to portraying characters with regional accents, what we often get in our hindi cinema is nothing but a medley of superficial mimicry. I can say it in case of haryanvi, panjabi and rajasthani characters atleast since i know these regions and people dwelling in there. Dibakar Banerjee's OYE LUCKY OYE ,however, is a different story altogether. After KHOSLA KA GHONSLA this is his second flick and one can't help but marvel at this young bengali chap's keen sense of accents. Like Khosla..... Lucky is also set amidst panjabified Delhi and the way lines have been delivered by actors is a treat for ears. Its a thesis on the life of Delhiite Panjabis and a must see for admirers of Hindi films.
