A Dispatch from China Town-1

There are many settlements by the name of China Town in many countries , but the one i visited today is in Yokohama City of Japan. A major tourist attraction with recurring theme of Giant Pandas, Dragons, Bruce Lee, Fortune Telling, Herbs, Spices , Eateries , Cheap stuff in Golden and Red hues ! A novel experience. ..altogether , but for a lover of open blue skies slightly tiring and boring as well. What do u say ?

From Odawara with love...

An exceptionally pleasant afternoon it was which i enjoyed to the hilt at Odawara. Odawara is an erstwhile Samurai capital which once practically controlled the Tokyo region . Definitely a very lovely place where perhaps one can still hear the footsteps of a Samurai and sense the fragrance of an era gone by !Today the area falls within Kanagawa prefecture and it is famous for its castle built by the powerful clan of Hojo Samurais. Castle is impressive indeed ,but i enjoyed the breeze more.........

From Kamakura with Love..........

The magical, enthralling world of Samurai swords & shurikens, sand, sunshine & saake', the mesmerizing warmth of effervescent, disarming smiles and above all the material charms and lethal arms the invincible Daibutsu, Amitabh Buddha, meditates majestically near the Pacific coast at Kamakura(Japan). This mighty Buddha statue has braved destructive tsunamis and quakes since its inception and it stays as it was in 1252 AD .Click on the pics, savour the beauty... enjoy !
